In 1963, Arabian Establishment for Trade (AET), a diverse trading and shipping company, was formed by H.R.H. Prince Abdullah bin Al-Faisal Al Saud. AET Shipping is now owned by H.R.H. Prince Faisal Bin Saud Bin Abdullah Al Faisal Bin Abdulaziz and H.R.H. Prince Khalid Bin Saud Bin Abdullah Al Faisal Bin Abdulaziz. AET largely took over the activities of Gellatly Hankey & Co. which had been established in Saudi Arabia for many years and were appointed as Lloyds Agents in 1889.
Arabian Inspection & Survey Co. Ltd. (AIS) is a part of the Saudi Investment Group & Marketing (SIGMA) group of companies. SIGMA encompasses amongst other reputed companies such as Saudi Tourist and Travel Bureau Ltd. (STTB), Arabian Establishment for Trade & Shipping Ltd (AET), AET Petroleum Services, IMA, etc.
In 1978, Arabian Inspection & Survey Co. Ltd. was founded to handle the ever-expanding survey activities of AET. Under the guidance of the current Group Chairman and President, H.R.H. Prince Faisal Bin Saud Bin Abdullah Al Faisal Bin Abdulaziz, AIS has become the largest survey company in the Middle East with satellite office in major ports and cities in the kingdom, allowing us to provide the best services in the region.
AIS have grown rapidly and now employ a broadly qualified range of staffs from several countries. The company has established itself as an Industry leader in the Cargo, Hull, Machinery and Industrial Sectors.
The AIS is firmly committed to its presence in the region. During the period of stabilization in the economy in recent years, the complement of technical and qualified staff has in fact been increased.
